ETP's Newest Panel Member - Janine Montoya
In October 2008, Governor Schwarzenegger appointed Janine Montoya, a small business owner, to serve on the Employment Training Panel.
Over the years, Ms. Montoya has been a strong force in her community, not only as a small business owner, but as a small business advocate as well. Ms. Montoya and her husband, Ted, have owned Valley Aire Heating and Air Conditioning located in Simi Valley since 1988, and Tri County Heating, Air Conditioning and Fireplaces located in Newbury Park since 2003. She worked with her father from 1983-88 to establish Simi Fastening Systems, a successful wholesaler of aerospace and tamper-proof fasteners.
In addition to her numerous civic activities and memberships, Ms. Montoya is extremely active in with the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), California's leading small business association, serving as co-chair for NFIB's Southern Leadership Council. She has received numerous honors, including being named Ventura County's Woman Business Owner of the Year by the National Association of Women Business Owners and Small Business Advocate of the year by the California State Chamber of Commerce.
Ms. Montoya resides in Simi Valley with her husband, Ted and their three children Cynthia, Bethany and William.
