"Fast Track" Contracting Process
Fast Track contracts are now available for Entrepreneurial and Small Business training, as well as for larger companies seeking no more than $50,000 in job training funds.
Entrepreneurial Skills Training
Entrepreneurial skills training is available for owners of small companies with 1-9 full-time employees. ETP contracts with chambers of commerce, economic development corporations, small business development corporations, or other employer groups or training agencies to provide business management and other related skills training essential to run a small business. Small business owners can receive between 8-60 hours of training at a reimbursement rate of $20 per hour per trainee.
Small Business Program
The Small Business Program is designed for companies with fewer than 100 employees that contract directly with ETP. Although the training is primarily designed for company employees, the small business owner can also participate in the program and benefit from a wide variety of job skills courses that are conducted at the worksite and taught by company employees or external training vendors. Training cost reimbursement is limited to 8-60 hours of training per employee at a reimbursement rate of $20 per hour per trainee.
"Fast Track" Contracts for Larger Employers
Companies with more than 100 employees can also benefit from ETP's "fast track" process if they contract directly with ETP. Trainees in this category must receive between 24-200 hours of training, at a reimbursement rate of generally $13 per hour per trainee. Following the completion of the contract, should the employer require more training for its employees, it can request an additional contract up to $50,000 using the same "fast track" process, or can use the standard process to request an amount greater than $50,000. The "fast track" process is a good way for employers to "try out" the ETP system in a small contract, and come back for additional funds if there is a need for more training.
